On Tuesday afternoon just after 1:00 p.m. 29-year old Tyler Kocian, formerly of West Point was found guilty by a jury on four counts in Stanton County District Court after the 1 1/2 day jury trial, that involved a high-speed vehicle pursuit through eight counties - ending in Blair back in February.     The pursuit began in Holt County after Kocian was suspected of stealing liquor from a store and he failed to stop for law enforcement as he continued east and went around stop

BLAIR VFD SUMMARY FOR NOVEMBER 18TH Responses by the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department on Tuesday, November 18th include a rescue call for a person injured in a fall – that matter handled by Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue as part of a mutual aide agreement. Later in the afternoon, the rescue squad responded to a medical nature unknown call.
