Thanksgiving Day Apartment Fire in Blair
An early morning fire Thanksgiving day displaced about 20 families at 16th and Adams. Some suffered smoke inhalation and one hospitalization is recorded. One pet also suffered smoke inhalation. The Blair Fire Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s deputies evacuated the building, the Blair Volunteer Fire Department, Fort Calhoun, Kennard, Herman, Arlington and Bennington Fire departments also responded in that hours long incident, which was rekindled later in the

WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S WEEKEND SUMMARY INCLUDES REPETITIVE OFFENDER A 46 year old man was arrested Friday afternoon at Highway 30 and County Road 25 for driving under suspension. That same man was arrested again the next day in Blair for the same thing. A 27 year old man was arrested for felony driving under revocation at County Roads 32 and 35. A number of winter weather related incidents are also on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s report for the weekend.

APARTMENT FIRE IN BLAIR DISPLACES OVER A DOZEN AND A HALF FAMILIES
An overnight fire at the LaQuinta Apartments on the Northside of Blair has displaced approximately 20 households. No fatalities one occupant was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Many of those displaced are staying with family members, others were offered shelter at a Blair area church. Blair, Kennard, and Ft. Calhoun responded. As well as Washington County Sheriff's office and Blair Police.
