High winds last night that passed through our area damaged trees and power lines. Some of the top wind speeds in our vicinity include 62 miles per hour at Tekamah’s airport, 53 miles per hour in Missouri Valley, 66 in Fremont, and 63 miles per hour in Washington County, near Fort Calhoun.
No major damage seen by Blair Radio News last night, but south of town, Rosco’s Rescue Ranch on Highway 133 experienced downed trees and animal shelters blown over. No injuries to animals reported. (image courtesy Roscos Rescue Ranch).
