One point four million dollars in Federal ARPA funds has been allocated to the City of Blair. ARPA stands for the American Rescue Plan. The funds must be used in certain ways to mitigate Pandemic generated costs. The city is having a public hearing December 14th to take comments on the use of those monies. Tuesday, December 14th at 7pm in City Council Chambers at 218 South 16th Street.
The City of Blair will be losing it’s Code Enforcement Officer, CJ Heaton. Heaton has been hired as the new city administrator for Yutan, Nebraska. In addition to Blair’s Code Enforcement, Heaton has been active in the efforts for the new Generations Park for the area north of the Library.
