The new school year is arriving rapidly, and teachers need help.
The start of the new school year is rapidly approaching. Blair Schools start August 18th, Fort Calhoun Schools start August 12th, Arlington August 17th, Tekamah-Herman August 19th, and Missouri Valley and West Harrison School students return to classes August 23rd.
With that, not only are groups starting their backpack programs, parents are buying school materials, and teachers are preparing their classrooms.
An effort to help teachers equip their classrooms is underway online. Just look for Adopt a teacher and Early Education Washington, Burt and Surrounding Counties on Facebook – where teachers have wish lists through Amazon.
