ATV & UTV in Mo Valley

Use of ATV & UTV in Mo Valley considered.

After some Mo Valley residents voiced concern about using All Terrain Vehicles and UTV’s on city streets at the city council meeting earlier this week, the Missouri Valley City Council approved drafting an ordinance which would mirror the regulations for such vehicles now in place in Harrison County.

Mo Valley City Administrator Jodie Flaherty says once that ordinance is worded, it will be presented to the city council for consideration. If approved, those alternate vehicles will be allowed, though the use of golf carts is not included in this draft.

If approved, the UTV/ATV’s could only be used from sunrise to sunset, the driver must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Iowa operator’s license and adhere to the same laws as a standard vehicle, among other safety measures.
