A nationwide ban on evictions, put in place due to COVID-19’s impact on employment and income, will expire in October. Scammers are taking advantage of those people worried about keeping a roof over their heads.
In a media release from the Better Business Bureau, we are cautioned about phony pandemic relief grants, advance fee loans and other scams that will ask for a processing fee. The Bureau encourages you to double check any government program before signing up and be very cautious of any offers you did not initiate.
