90 year old Barbara Lange passed away February 28th. Grave side services will be held Monday, March 9th, 10am at the Blair Cemetery 91 year old Joan Clements of Blair and formerly of Arlington passed away February 22nd. She is survived by her step son Saylor Clements, Merri Dibben, Mark Clements and Karen Clements of Blair and several other family members. Visitation is tomorrow 9 am, the Memorial Service at 11am, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Details can be found

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza is on the rise, the sixth case so far this year has been detected this week in a multi-species back yard flock in Buena Vista County in northwest Iowa.      Ten cases were confirmed in all of last year according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.     Three other cases this week found in Washington County, Iowa, Keokuk and Van Buren Counties, and One reported in January in Kossuth County.
