Gateway Preparation
The City of Blair Public Works team, with assistance from members of the Blair Volunteer Fire Department, got an early start this morning washing down Washington Street in preparation for Saturday’s Gateway to the West Parade. While rain may be in the forecast, they want to make sure every nook and cranny is clean and ready to welcome the many visitors who will be joining us this weekend. CITY SEEKS HEIRS TO PRE-1926 CEMETERY LOTS
The City of Blair is currently undertaking a long-term effort to identify abandoned cemetery lots purchased prior to 1926 which do not have clear title transferring them to living descendants and to reclaim them for resale. This process is intended to ensure legal cemetery ownership is followed, to prevent future misunderstandings regarding burial rights, and to make unused spaces available for future generations.
