PUT THE PHONE AWAY OR PAY The Sheriff's Office has completed our participation the "Put The Phone Away or Pay" a national high-visibility law enforcement campaign directed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to combat distracted driving. This was funded by the NDOT Highway Safety Office. The goal was to reduce accidents caused by distracting driving. Blair Police Department reported that on March 30th, 2026 and March 31st, 2026, two individuals entered Family Fare/Starbucks, Dollar General, and Bomgaars in Blair where they passed counterfeit $100 bills. At this time, it has been determined that each counterfeit bill used in these incidents bears the same serial number: J01188857.
