It is the season for office Christmas parties and with that, some may be tempted to imbibe a little more than is wise for them to do so, and it’s being reflected in statistics from the Nebraska State Patrol. They, along with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and other area law enforcement agencies are participating in the grant funded “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” highway safety campaign through January 1st.
State troopers, this past weekend arrested seven impaired drivers, cited 26 drivers for speeding over 90 miles per hour, and performed over 60 motorist assists. You’re encouraged to line up a designated driver if you plan to drink.
