You should keep your gas tank full, have an ice scraper, jumper cables, winter clothing and an extra blanket, water and snacks and among other things, a cell phone charger. Other items that may be helpful should you be stuck in a ditch - an extra dose of any medications you may need, instant hand warmers, toilet paper.
