Herman’s Volunteer Fire and Rescue department Monday night elected Rhonda Meyer as the Rescue Chief, assistant rescue chief is LJ Hawkins, Rescue Captain is Chris Booth, Treasurer and Secretary- Mary Oliver. The Herman Fire and Rescue department is seeking to add more EMTs.

LB 1159 updates current law regarding the nomination process for the Nebraska Hall of Fame. Currently this is allows only one person every five years and the person being nominated must have passed away 35 years prior to the nomination.    The change being proposed would allow one living person to be installed in the Hall of Fame.
