Well over ten thousand dollars was raised at this morning’s Christmas for the Coat Drive Through Breakfast in a preliminary count according to . That amount is likely to increase.
250 meals were served.
The annual breakfast event is used to purchase supplies for the Washington County Food Pantry. The pantry has seen heavy usage by about 300 families this year according to board president Kristina Churchill.
She says the organization is very thankful to the community for their help, and for donations from Butch’s Deli, Family Fare, Jim and Connie’s Bakery, Moon Hollow Coffee and Craig Hueton with Edward Jones.
