Church Calendar: July 10, 2025

Here’s what’s happening in the Blair area Faith Community:

Christmas in July is tomorrow from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Blair City Pool. The event features free food, live music, crafts, games and swimming. Everyone is welcome, food will be served from 5:30 to 7pm, the pool will be open from 7pm to8:30 pm. Donations of non-perishable food or cash donations for the Washington County Food Pantry will be appreciated. The event is sponsored by the Washington County Ministerial Association, area churches and many generous donors.

Grace Community Fellowship in Missouri Valley is having a free Family Fun Event this Saturday, July 12th from 10am to 1pm at 300 East Erie Street. Pony rides, games and hot dogs are featured.

First United Methodist and First Lutheran churches of Blair are having Vacation Bible School this coming week, July 14th through the 18th from 9am to noon at First Lutheran, 2146 Wright Street...this is for 3 year olds to fifth graders. The cost is ten dollars for each child with a 30 dollar maximum per family. Scholarships are available.

The Missouri River Area Women’s Connection is 6:30 pm July 15th at Christ Lutheran Church, 750 Angel’s Share Drive in Blair. The speakers are Diane Venecek discussing the Saturday morning outdoor market and Brenda VerMeire of Yankton, South Dakota talking about “Letting Go of the Wheel”. Tickets are ten dollars at the door to cover the cost of the catered meal. To make a reservation, call 402-426-7068.

Donations are sought to help Blair’s Pack the Park School Backpack program. Fifty dollars will cover the cost of one school supply kit, a water bottle, a pair of New Balance shoes and a pair of socks. You can find donation information on the Reach Church or Pack the Park social media.

Missouri Valley’s Ministerial Association and local churches are sponsoring the Back to School Back Pack Program and are in need of donations of school supplies, a complete list will be found on the Blair Radio Facebook Page.
