HERE’S WHAT'S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…
The Pioneer’s for Education Spring Carnival is Friday, April 25th at the Fort Calhoun High School from 5 to 8pm. Wristbands are 12 dollars in advance, 15 at the door.
“Rock the Block” in Fort Calhoun is this Saturday, from 8am to 1pm– it’s an effort by Habitat for Humanity to encourage neighbors to help neighbors by doing beautification and minor exterior repair projects. Volunteers are needed, contact habitatomaha.org if you or your organization would like to help.
A Harrison County Community Baby Shower is Saturday, May 17th from 10 to 11:30 at the Crew Center in Woodbine. This is for women in Harrison County that are pregnant or have a baby up to six months old. Please RSVP by May 1st by calling or texting 712-216-5073
Fundraising is underway for the Flag Education Program at Arbor Park School in Blair. That program, an annual event for fifth graders, teaches approximately 160 kids about flad etiquette and provides each student with a 3 foot by five foot flag. About 1500 dollars is needed for this – you can send funds via venmo@flagprofessor ‘Blair Flag Education. More details can be found on the Blair Radio Facebook Page.
Rosco’s Rescue Ranch is seeking volunteers for community service. Several time slots are available. Call 402-533-2994 for details.
