HERE’S WHATS HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…

Blair High School’s annual plant sale is May 6th and 7th 4 to 6pm both days...at the school’s green house, 440 North 10th Street. Geraniums, succulents, Grasses, hanging baskets, tomatoes are among the featured plants.

A fresh look – an open house for the newly refurbished Blair Memorial Community Hospital’s Inpatient rooms is Thursday, May 1st from 4:30 to 6pm. Tours, refreshments and meet and greet with hospital staff are featured.

A Harrison County Community Baby Shower is Saturday, May 17th from 10 to 11:30 at the Crew Center in Woodbine. This is for women in Harrison County that are pregnant or have a baby up to six months old. Please RSVP by May 1st by calling or texting 712-216-5073

A supply drive is underway by the Harrison County Leadership Class for Harrison County Home and Public Health and the county humane society. Donations of household cleaning supplies and pet supplies such as litter and more are needed. Among the donation drop off locations is the Willow Lake Nature Center. That drive goes through June 30th.

The Blair Optimist’s Club’s Washington County Bike Rodeo is Saturday, May 10th from 11am to 1pm. It will be at the Washington County Bank parking lot, 1523 Washington Street. Among the features – bike repair, free helmets, drawings for new bikes and free lunch provided by the Kiwanis Club. More details can be found on the Blair Optimist Club’s social media.
