Here’s what’s happening in our area…

Roots to Wings in Arlington is having a patriotic fundraiser where you can donate 100, 50 or 25 dollars to have US flags placed on someone’s yard. This is available through the summer – more information can be found on the Roots to Wings Facebook page.

Laser Tag sessions at the Blair Public Library are coming up, the next Session, for those aged 13 through 19 is on June 16th, but you must register before June 9th. Call 402-426-3617.

Missouri Valley’s Music in the Park Concert Series starts tonight at 7pm with the Delta 88’s.

Tekamah Fire and Rescue’s Fly in Breakfast is this Sunday from 7am til noon at the Tekamah airport. An airplane is not required to participate. Free Will donations will be accepted to benefit the Tekamah Fire and Rescue Department.

The Blair Optimist Club is celebrating 45 years in operation with Pizza and Cake Wednesday, June 11th from noon til 1 at the Washington Count Chamber of Commerce office. The public is invited!

Missouri Valley’s 6th annual motorcycle rodeo and bike show is June 21st at the Mo Valley City Park. Events start at noon, it is a benefit for the Food Bank of the Heartland and the Siena Francis House.

Volunteers are needed at the Watson Steam Train and Depot in Missouri Valley. Call 712-870-1961 for details.

The Birthing, Baby and Beyond Class is Saturday June 28th from nine til noon at Blair’s Memorial Community Hospital. More details at the hospital’s social media.
