Here’s what’s happening in our area…
The Gateway to the West Days is Thursday, June 5th through Sunday, June 8th. Water fights, parade, car show and many more events are featured. There are deadlines for entries for the water fight and the parade – go online to washingtoncountychamberne.com for more information.
Missouri Valley’s Music in the Park Concert series starts in June. Each concert, on a Thursday night, starts at 7 and is free. The first concert of the series is June 5th and features Delta 88’s. The full schedule can be found at the Missouri Valley Chamber of Commerce social media.
For those who enjoy the finer things in life – like hand painted fine porcelain – the Blair Area Porcelain Artists Club now has a display of the group’s works at the Blair Public Library and Technology Center – during regular library hours now through the first week in June. There is no admission fee
The Papio-Missouri River NRD is having a free electronic waste recycling collection in Tekamah, Tuesday, May 20th from 10am to 1pm at the NRD / USDA Service Center, 539 South 13th Street, later the same day, a collection event will be held in Blair at 1060 Wilbur Street from 3pm to 6pm.
