HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…

Tuesday, September 15, the Missouri Valley City Council will meet at 6:00 pm.

Sept 17-19 the MCH Auxiliary will host their 70th annual Rummage Sale at the Blair Public Works building at 341 Grant St. Hours Thursday and Friday are from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. The Saturday Bag Sale is from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Thursday, Sept 17, is a free admission day at DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge.

On Thursday, Sept 17, Harrison the Traveling Squirrel reading experience will be happening from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Missouri Valley Public Library.

Friday, Sept 18, from 2:00-5:00 pm is the Household Hazardous Waste Collection at the Blair Recycling Center.

EastgateSports gaming arena is having a special event night on Friday, Sept 18, from 4:00-9:00 pm. For only $20 each, you can drop off your children, age 11 and up, to enjoy a fun evening while parents participate in Business & Brews.

Saturday, Sept 19, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm is the Flowers for Food Fundraiser at Verne Valley Farm, located at 14896 Co Rd 24, benefiting the Washington County Food Pantry.

Pages & Pumpkins Fall Festival & Car Show is Saturday, Sept 19 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in Modale, Iowa. Bring the whole family for a day of fall fun!

Starting at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Sept 19, the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter is sponsoring “Chip & Clip”. The public is invited to get their pet microchipped and their nails trimmed, by Dakota’s Mobile Pet Nail Trimming Service. All donations will directly benefit the Shelter.
