Almost done... status of Justice Center construction to Washington County Board of Supervisors.
More work on elevator issues and passing inspections by the state are still underway before construction on the Washington County Justice Center is fully wrapped up. That update given by Jarod Schleifer with Weitz Construction at yesterday afternoon’s Washington County Board of Supervisor’s meeting.
Part of the discussion regarding the new jail – whether to have elevators access backup generators or a battery backup in the event of a power failure. That discussion was tabled until further research could be done.
The contract between the county and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 36 was approved.
A contract with Advanced Correctional Health Care to proved health care for prisoners as required by the state - was approved as well.
