LEAD AND HEALTHY HOMES PROGRAM ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Three Rivers Public Health Department is proud to announce that applications are open for the Lead and Healthy Homes Program. This federal program allows TRPHD to provide home repairs Dodge, Washington, and Saunders County at no-cost for those who qualify. Federal income limits apply, and bank statements, tax returns, and other requested financial records are required.

Healthy Homes Program services include:

* Reducing exposure to mold, lead, asthma triggers, radon, and more

* Fixing fall hazards, faulty wiring, and missing detectors

* Enhancing air quality, insulation, and HVAC efficiency

* Keeping vulnerable occupants safe - including children and the elderly.

Within Three Rivers Public Health’s jurisdiction of Dodge, Washington, and Saunders County, sixty-five percent (65%) of housing stock was built before 1978. This means that over half of the homes in our communities may contain lead-based paint hazards. Those who qualify based on federal income guidelines as well as program requirements may receive lead abatement work at no-cost!
