OPPD Wants to Hear From Blair!

At Tuesday's Blair City Council meeting, representatives from Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) shared information about their Integrated System Plan (ISP) and the important decisions that go into planning for our region’s energy future. As part of that process, OPPD is asking public officials and community members to weigh in on four key priorities:
Reliability – Keeping power dependable when customers need it
Affordability – Keeping energy costs manageable
Environmental Sensitivity – Considering environmental impacts
Community & Economic Development – Supporting growth and development
The big question: How should these priorities be balanced, and what tradeoffs should be considered when they compete with one another?
Blair residents have an opportunity to have their voices heard. Attend OPPD’s Virtual ISP Workshop on Tuesday, September 22, 5:00–6:00 PM. Find previous workshop recordings and a registration link for the upcoming workshop at oppdcommunityconnect.com/ISP
Residents in and around Blair are encouraged to participate, ask questions and provide feedback. Community input is an important part of planning for a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy future.
