Today is Winter Solstice – the official start of Winter, the shortest day and the longest night of the year.

Tonight is also the last meteor shower of the year – The Ursids.

The next celestial display will be the Quadrantids January 2nd, 2022.

The next meteor showers of note will not be until April.
