VEHICLE THEFT, ACCIDENT AND PURSUIT ON WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S SUMMARY FOR CHRISTMAS WEEKEND




A pursuit at 2:40 Christmas Eve Morning is on the Washington County Sheriff’s Activity Summary for December 22nd through Christmas morning.

  

In that pursuit which started in Arlington, Deputies, along with Blair Police, used spikes to stop the vehicle, which was stolen. The vehicle was stopped near the roundabout and the suspect took off on foot into nearby woods. That suspect then called 911 because they were lost. The juvenile was taken into custody and charged with willful reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest, possession of stolen property, speeding, driving left of center, and obstruction.


Also on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s report, a traffic stop late Sunday night in the 2300 block of County Road p-51 ends in the arrest of a 28-year-old woman for driving under suspension and having two warrants from Douglas County. A possible theft in the 2300 block of County Road 37, a 21-year-old woman was arrested for drunk driving, criminal impersonation, driving under suspension, open container and speeding.

   

A deputy stopped to provide assistance to a motorist who was non-responsive, CPR was started, and the motorist was transported by rescue squad to the hospital.

   

A vehicle theft reported in the 8400 block of County Road 38. A single vehicle accident at Highway 75 and County Road 8 in which Herman Fire and Rescue transported an injured person to the hospital in Blair. Those are a few of the matters handled by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office over Christmas weekend.
