A ditch fire yesterday morning at County Roads p-31 and p-14 was handled by the Blair Volunteer Fire Department.
Also on the Washington County Sheriff’s activity summary just released – two abandoned vehicles were found – a 90’s Cadillac at Highways 30 and 31 and a Dodge Dakota at Highway 91 near County road 9.
An intoxicated male was wandering around Fort Calhoun after 1a.m. Saturday morning, the deputy gave the man a ride to his apartment. A similar incident the night before, where a very intoxicated man was walking in the roadway at 2:30 in the morning.
Another abandoned vehicle found at Highway 133 near County Road 30. Vehicles found in this manner sometimes have mechanical failures or are stolen from other areas.
Among other matters on the report from Sheriff Mike Robinson, cows were out of their enclosure at County Roads 4 and p-9. The owner was contacted and the cattle were corralled into their pen.
