A fire this morning in the 650 block of South 5th Street in Blair damaged a mechanical shop. Jake Dunn with the Blair Fire and Rescue Department says a Hydro-Evacuation business at 652 South Fifth sustained damage, but there were no injuries and no fatalities. Blair, Fort Calhoun and Kennard Fire and Rescue crews helped bring that fire under control.

CHOKING BABY, POSSIBLE STROKE ON THE BLAIR VFD SUMMARY     Responses to six calls for help yesterday by the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Those calls include a possible stroke, two calls for assisting a party up, a person having difficulty breathing, a person injured in a fall, and a rescue call for an infant choking.

ROLLOVER, DOG TANGLED IN FENCE ON BLAIR VFD SUMMARY     Calls to the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department over the holiday weekend include response to a possible stroke, a car accident with rollover and party pinned, providing mutual aid to Kennard for a person injured in a fall, responding to a medical alert alarm, tending to a dog stuck in a fence – at the request of Blair Police Department.     Those are among the many calls to the Blair Fire and Rescue Department fo
