Last night, members of the Blair Volunteer Fire Department trained with mutual aid partners from Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue and the Herman Fire Department near 18th & Lincoln Streets. This was with a staged fire for response to buildings set to be removed making it perfect for training exercises. The Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescued indicated that they’ve been a little behind on daily recaps, so here's what BVFD has been up to over the past several days! Over Friday, July 10th through Tuesday, July 14th, BVFD responded to 19 calls for service, including 12 medical and 7 fire-related incidents. 5 calls were also mutual aid calls with Missouri Valley Fire Department, Kennard Fire and Rescue, and Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue.

The Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue report from last week Monday, July 6 to July 9th. Monday - BVFR responded to 2 calls for service, both of which were medical in nature. One call was a mutual aid call with Arlington Volunteer Fire Department. Tuesday - BVFR responded to 2 incidents, including 1 planned standby and 1 fire-related emergency. Wednesday - BVFR responded to 2 calls for service, both of which were medical in nature. Thursday - BVFR responded to 5 calls for servic
