Accident Claims Ft. Calhoun Man

A late night accident on I-480 and Martha Street claimed the life of 73 year old Michael Childers of Fort Calhoun.

Omaha Police say Michael Childers died on the scene, his passenger, Linda Childers, was injured and taken to the hospital. The pickup Childer’s was driving hit a tree and rolled.

Speeding or alcohol do not appear to be a factor according to OPD.
