Here’s what’s happening in the Blair area Faith Community:

First Lutheran Church’s Midweek Meal is tomorrow evening is Sausage and Egg Casserole, pick up or delivery is from 5:30 to 6:15. Order ahead to help with the planning of the weekly event. Menus are available online at firstlutheranblair.org.  Donations are appreciated.

Tomorrow evening starting at 6:30 is the Bible Buddies Kick Off at Hillside Christian Church, 1133 North 28th Avenue in blair. Ice cream floats will be served during registration for the Bible Buddies program.

Wednesday Bible study tomorrow evening at First Baptist will focus on Acts 16, the series is co-taught by Rev. Jim Erwin and Jay Anderson. The study starts at 6:30 with prayer requests. Everyone is welcome. First Baptist Church of Blair is located at 205 South 18th Street.

Wednesday Worship at First Lutheran Church is 6:15 to 6:45. following worship will be classes for kids aged Pre-K through 8th grade.

Though we are still in the throes of late summer, others are already planning for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Missouri Valley United Women in Faith are again making apple, cherry and peach pies for 15 dollars each. The pies will be frozen and ready to bake. All orders should be placed by October 6th and will be ready October 25th. Call or text 402-250-9552

The Kindness Kits program helps provide hygiene items for those in need...as well as some household cleaning items. To volunteer, donate or request kindness kits, email Info@KindnessKits.info, or call 402-533-3356

A weekly support group for those who are grieving starts September 8th and runs through December 1st at The Center, 116 North Fourth Street in Missouri Valley. For details, call 712-254-1471
