City of Blair - Position of City Administrator

The City of Blair announced the selection of two finalists for the position of City Administrator: Jessica Quady and David Scott. Both candidates bring extensive experience in municipal leadership, public administration, and organizational management.

The search for Blair’s next City Administrator began following the resignation of City Administrator Phil Green, who dedicated more than three decades of service to the City of Blair. Throughout his tenure, Green played an instrumental role in the City’s growth, development, and continued success. His departure marks a significant leadership transition and presents an opportunity for the City to build upon the strong foundation established during his years of service while continuing to move Blair forward.

The City extends sincere appreciation to all candidates who expressed interest in the position and participated in the recruitment process. The selection of the final two candidates represents an important milestone in identifying the next leader of Blair's municipal organization.

With the finalists now identified, the recruitment process enters its final phase. Both candidates will participate in an entire day of meeting with City of Blair Staff, tour of the City, and a final interview with Mayor Rump, providing an opportunity for City leadership to further evaluate their qualifications, experience, and vision for Blair's future.

Following the completion of the final interviews and evaluation process, Mayor Rump is expected to present her recommendation for the next City Administrator to the Blair City Council for consideration and potential approval at a regularly scheduled meeting, tentatively targeted for Tuesday, November 24, 2026.
