HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…

The Memorial Community Hospital is having a Blood Drive on Thursday, August 20, from 10am-4pm at the Bagby/Gentry Conference Room.

Blair Schools Foundation Family Fun Night is on Friday, August 21, at 5pm at Krantz Field. There will be a volleyball scrimmage at 5:30pm and a football scrimmage at 7pm. There will also be band and cheer/dance performances, bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, and fire trucks.

Devney Acres is hosting Sip n Paint at The Rustic Shed on Friday, August 21, at 6:00 pm. The craft will be creating a highland cow welcome door hanger. All supplies are provided and drinks will be available for purchase. Registration is recommended at devneyacres.com

The Esports Smash Tournament will be on Saturday, August 22, from 5-8 pm. Register online at Eastgate Sports Facebook page. There is no entry fee.

Midtown Mayhem 3on3 Basketball Tournament will take place on Sunday, August 23, from 1-5 pm at the WCB parking lot. Teams are already formed but spectators are welcome.

The next Lunch & Learn is on August 25 at noon at the Bagby/Gentry Conference Rooms. The topic is Breastfeeding Matters: Supporting moms, babies, & communities. RSVP on the MCH website or contact Coartney DiGiorgio at 402-426-1464 or cdigiorgio@mchhs.org.

Carter Place Senior Living is having an End of Summer Beach Party & Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 27, from 2-4:30pm. There will be ice cream, yard games, live music, and a senior resource fair.

A Street Dance honoring Tekamah Fire & Rescue 135th anniversary is on Saturday, August 29, from 7-11pm at Tipsy Pig. There will be live music from the Nuclear Bees.
