HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…

The Esports Smash Tournament will be on Saturday, August 22, from 5-8 pm. Register online at Eastgate Sports Facebook page. There is no entry fee.

Midtown Mayhem 3on3 Basketball Tournament will take place on Sunday, August 23, from 1-5 pm at the WCB parking lot. Teams are already formed but spectators are welcome.

The next Lunch & Learn is on August 25 at noon at the Bagby/Gentry Conference Rooms. The topic is Breastfeeding Matters: Supporting moms, babies, and communities. RSVP on the MCH website or contact Coartney DiGiorgio at 402-426-1464 or cdigiorgio@mchhs.org.

Carter Place Senior Living is having an End of Summer Beach Party & Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 27, from 2-4:30pm. There will be ice cream, yard games, live music, and a senior resource fair.

The Church is hosting a craft fair on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 212 West 2nd in Kennard. 16 vendors with a variety of crafts will be available.

Community Grooves & Grub is Saturday, August 29 from 5-8 pm at the United Methodist Church pavilion. Music by Fever & The Funkhouse. Bring your lawn chair or blankets and join us for a fun, relaxing evening.

A Street Dance honoring Tekamah Fire & Rescue 135th anniversary is on Saturday, August 29, from 7-11 pm at Tipsy Pig. There will be live music from the Nuclear Bees.
