HERE’S WHATS HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…


Free colon cancer screening kits are available at the Three Rivers Public Health Department in Fremont on Thursday, March 27th – a drive through event will be open from noon til 1 and again from 4:30 til 5:30 – at 2400 North Lincoln Avenue in Fremont.


The 4th annual Hope Walk hosted by Missouri Valley and Logan Magnolia’s Hope Squad is April 27th from 5 to 7pm at the Mo Valley High School Track. The registration cost of 10 dollars per person includes a meal and a tee shirt if you register by April 10th. More details on the Mo Valley Chamber of Commerce facebook page.


A disaster preparedness fair is planned next month according to the WashingtonCounty Long-Term Recovery team. It’s April 26th from ten til two at First Lutheran Church at 2146 Wright Street in Blair, some of the participants and features in that fair - Child Identification program, the Nebraska Strong Recovery Project – Region 6, the Nebraska Volunteer Agency in Disaster, and several more.


The Blair Optimist Club’s Easter Egg Hunt is slated for Saturday, April 12th starting at 1pm, registration is at 12:30 at South School, 1616 Butler Street.


The Blair High School Class of 1975’s 50th Reunion is Saturday, June 7th from 6:30 to 10pm at the Blair American Legion Hall at 12th and Washington Streets.


Just a reminder that applications for the Dana College Foundation’s Legacy Scholarships are due by March 31st. The scholarships are available to decedents of Dana Alumni, faculty or staff. More information can be found online at danaalumni.org
