Here’s what’s happening in our area…


Three Rivers Public Health department will be among those conducting a follow up survey of residents in Washington and Douglas Counties that were impacted by last year’s tornados. Surveyors will have identification and will do those surveys start today and run through the 8th.


The Annual Plant Sale at the Blair High School Green House is tomorrow and Wednesday 4 to 6pm at the school’s greenhouse, 440 North Tenth in Blair. Geraniums, hanging baskets, tomato plants and more will be for sale.


The Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, put on by the US Postal Service Letter Carriers, is Saturday, May 10th. You can leave your non-perishable foods to be donated in a bag by your mail box.


The Washington County Bike Rodeo is this coming Saturday, 11am at the Washington County Bank parking lot. Hosted by the Blair Optimist Club, there will be Free Helmets, activities, free bike repairs, drawings for new bikes and bike decorating are part of the fun – and free lunch is provided by the Blair Kiwanis Club. That’s this coming Saturday at 11:00


The Blair Chapter of the Future Farmers of American 75th annual banquet is this Wednesday, 6pm at the RVR Arena at the Washington County Fairgrounds.. Alumni and community supporters are encouraged to attend. Details online at sites.google.com/blairschools.org/bhsffa
