FCHS Winter Clothing Drive

The Fort Calhoun Medical Careers Club, High School JAG, and Pioneers Overcoming Peer Pressure (POPP) are co-sponsoring a winter clothing drive through October 29 to support people experiencing homelessness in the Omaha area.
Donations will go to the Salvation Army’s Winter Night Watch mobile unit, which distributes warm food and clothing to people on the streets during the winter.
The drive is collecting new or gently used hoodies, jackets, winter coats, hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves. Socks must be new. Sleeping bags and extra-warm blankets are also needed.
A collection barrel is available outside the high school counseling office.
Donations can also be brought to these events:
•High school football game vs. Boystown - Friday, October 16
•High school volleyball game vs. Conestoga - Tuesday, October 20
•Parent-teacher conferences at the high school and elementary school - October 21 and 22
•High school football game vs. Syracuse - Friday, October 23
•Fall choir concert - Tuesday, October 27
The community is invited to take part and help provide warmth and support to neighbors in need
