At Omaha Public Power District’s Board of Directors meeting last night, a preliminary 2 point one-billion-dollar budget was presented to directors during the public board meeting. The proposed budget reflects modernizing infrastructure and a two and a half percent increase in rates. OPPD says the increase would average about a five dollar and twenty eight cent yearly increase on the average electric bill. That budget expected to be finalized in the board’s December 21st meeting.
