Long time Modale Firefighter Kim Kunkee passed away from breast cancer. She served 12 years with the Modale Fire and Rescue Department. A Celebration of Life is planned April 29th, 4pm at the Modale Legion Hall.
94 year old Adelyne Bull Backhuus of Bennington died April 17th. She is survived by her children, Mark and Mike, both of Blair and Nancy Mohr of Bennington, along with other family members. Visitation is tonight, 4-7, the funeral tomorrow, 10:30. Both at Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington.

81 year old Lorraine Hansen Mencke of Elkhorn, formerly of Blair, passed away April 17th. She is survived by her sons, Jeff and Troy and their families. Visitation is tomorrow, 6 to 8pm, the funeral is Saturday, 10am, both at Campbell-Aman. A graveside service follows at 11:30 at the Blair Cemetery.

54 year old Troy Buss of Missouri Valley died April 16th. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, children Jordan and Jessica, parents Larry and Bunny, brother Jason and other family members. Visitation is today, 4-7pm, the Rosary at 7pm at Saint Patrick’s in Missouri Valley. The funeral is tomorrow, 10:30 at Saint Patricks.
