91 year old Paul Janecek of Fort Calhoun passed away. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. He is survived by his wife, Pat, sister Mabel Tosoni, Daughters Debbie Knowton, Paula O’Doherty, Sherry Benton, Lynette Schultz, sons Larry, Tim, Glen, and Jeff Janecek and their famlies. A private family Celebration of Life will be held.

77 year old Connie Jo Dunning Abbott of Blair passed away August 25th. She was a long time elementary school secretary for Blair Schools. She is survived by her children, Bradley Abbott and Tyrell Abbott, her sister Vicki Ray and their families.

84 year old Gregory Hancock of Missouri Valley passed away August 25th. He is survived by his wife, children JoElln van Kirk and Justin Hancock, his siblings Mary Jo Albracht and Cynthia Bedke and other family members. A Celebration of Life is Saturday, October 11th, noon til 4pm at the Eagles Club in Missouri Valley.

80 year old Bill Benson of Woodbine, formerly of Missouri Valley, passed away August 29th. He is survived by his wife, Lori, children Jackie Beckmann and Jason Benson, his sister Sally Davis and other family members. His funeral was this morning at Fouts in Woodbine.
