DISCUSSED AT WASHINGTON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISOR'S MEETING


The Washington County Justice Center, through housing inmates for other counties, saw a revenue last month of over 52 thousand dollars according to Sheriff Mike Robinson in a report to the County Board of Supervisors in yesterday’s meeting.


Supervisors also approved the purchase of three Chevy Tahoe's to be used as patrol vehicles. Those were chosen for four wheel drive capability.


A request from the Northeast Nebraska Community Action Program for 20 thousand dollars of federal funds – ARPA funds, was approved. NENCAP helps low income families, elderly and others with financial, medical and other needs.


A Conservation easement was granted to the Nebraska Land Trust by Turkey Creek Preserve. A portion of land just over 300 acres west of Highway 75 in the southeast part of the county will now remain undeveloped after the Washington County Board of Supervisor’s approved the matter.


Erosion control at construction sites discussed at that meeting... County Building inspector Darren Dageforde recommended having potential erosion control measures spelled out and added in to the permitting process – the recommendation was approved by the board.
