TEKAMAH MAN IN CUSTODY FOR BURGLARY, OTHER CHARGES

A burglary and theft reported in Tekamah lead to the investigation of a suspect last week.
A search warrant obtained by the Tekamah Police Department and with assistance with the Burt County Sheriff’s Office of a camper in an alleyway, found several stolen items valued into the thousands, along with a small amount of methamphetamine.
The suspect was found riding a bicycle near the scene and arrested. A 37 year old resident of the town was charged with burglary, theft, felony possession of stolen property, several counts of criminal trespassing and possession of drugs according to Tekamah Police Chief Jeremy Goeken yesterday. The suspect has been transported to the Washington County Jail.
