The railroad tracks running through Blair and onward to Kennard will be carrying a heavy load tomorrow. Union Pacific’s largest steam train, Number 4014 will be passing through Blair and parts of Washington County tomorrow morning while on it’s way from Council Bluffs to Fremont. No stops are planned along the way, but Union Pacific officials, when contacted by Blair Radio, say that observers can watch at train crossings, but must stay at least 25 feet away from tracks.
The approximate time is between 9 and 10 am. Updates on the location of 4014 can bee seen at Upsteam.com (photo courtesy Union Pacific)
