ATF TO HELP INVESTIGATE MULTIPLE FIRES IN MONONA COUNTY

Last week we reported on suspicious fires in Onawa, including one at the Monona County Fairgrounds on January 28th. Two other fires on January 26th. Now the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is joining the investigation into the fires. Meanwhile, the Onawa Kiwanis Club is hosting a pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 14th with half the proceeds to go to the fair board for rebuilding the grandstands, the other half to the Onawa Volunteer Fire Department. Heat from one of the fires damaged parts of a fire engine.
