Students will be returning to area schools over the next two weeks. Those opening to students on August 12th – Tuesday, include Arlington, Fremont, and Tekamah-Herman. Blair and Omaha will open August 13th.
With this, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office cautions motorists to allow extra time to get to your destination, drive a little slower to allow sufficient reaction time in case a child should dart out into traffic, and always stop for School Bus Stop Arms.
Sheriff Mike Robinson reminds area motorists that there will be extra deputies on the roadways, helping to insure the safety of children getting on and off school buses.
