Golf carts on Blair streets still in question and no storage units in office park zones.
The second reading of an ordinance which would allow Golf Carts on Blair City streets was heard at last night’s Blair City Council meeting and discussion on the safety of those vehicles centered on adding safety measures such as roll bars and lights. A proposal to suspend the three reading rule and take a final vote on the matter failed, there will be one more reading before the final vote.
Also in last night’s city council action, a change which would allow storage units in office park zones failed.
Approval was given to seek grants to help in the fundraising effort to build the proposed Generations Park adjacent to the Blair Library.
The sale of two lots on Transformation Hill to Orchard Valley was also approved.
The City’s Preliminary budget was discussed and the public hearing is set for September 14th.
