Blair Fire Department Summary

The Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue reported a busy weekend as they responded to 15 incidents from Friday through Sunday. 14 events were medical calls and 1 event standby for the Blair Football Homecoming Game. Included in the events were multiple mutual aid calls with Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue and Kennard Fire Rescue.

BVFR stated, “This weekend was also another great example of the importance of mutual aid. Thank you to Herman Rescue, Fort Calhoun Fire & Rescue, and Kennard Rescue for being ready to assist. When calls overlap or resources are already committed, having neighboring departments willing to answer the call makes all the difference. Whether it's one call, 15 calls, or no calls at all, the men and women of BVFD don't back down from a challenge and are always ready to respond when our community needs us. And as always, thank you to our BVFD volunteers and their families for another weekend of interrupted meals, plans, sleep, football games, and family time in service to our community.”
