Brush Fire put Out By Several fire departments

SATURDAY BRUSH FIRE PUT OUT BY SEVERAL COUNTY VFDS

A large brush fire Saturday west of Blair off of Highway 91 underscores the severity of the Red flag Fire Weather Warnings we are seeing.

Windy dry conditions drew several fire departments to the area – Arlington, Fort Calhoun, Blair, and every department in Washington County. No injuries were indicated.

That same fire danger exists today, you’re strongly advised to avoid driving combustible engines on dry grassy areas, being exceedingly careful with smoking materials and avoiding outdoor burns.
