Here’s what’s happening in the Blair area Faith Community:

The Community Prayer Network is the first Monday of the month – that’s tonight, at 7pm at 750 Angels Share Drive, suite 316 in the Clocktower building on the Dana Campus

Christmas in July is this Friday, July 11th from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Blair City Pool. The event features free food, live music, crafts, games and swimming. Everyone is welcome, food will be served from 5:30 to 7pm, the pool will be open from 7pm to 8:30 pm.

Donations of non-perishable food or cash donations for the Washington County Food Pantry will be appreciated. The event is sponsored by the Washington County Ministerial Association, area churches and many generous donors.

Grace Community Fellowship in Missouri Valley is having a free Family Fun Event this Saturday, July 12th from 10am to 1pm at 300 East Erie Street. Pony rides, games and hot dogs are featured.

The Missouri River Area Women’s Connection is 6:30 pm July 15th at Christ Lutheran Church, 750 Angel’s Share Drive in Blair. The speakers are Diane Venecek discussing the Saturday morning outdoor market and Brenda VerMeire of Yankton, South Dakota talking about “Letting Go of the Wheel”. Tickets are ten dollars at the door to cover the cost of the catered meal. To make a reservation, call 402-426-7068.

Donations are sought to help the Pack the Park School Backpack program. Fifty dollars will cover the cost of one school supply kit, a water bottle, a pair of New Balance shoes and a pair of socks. You can find donation information on the Reach Church or Pack the Park social media.

Joseph’s Coat Thrift Store and the Washington County Food Pantry are now open on Wednesdays. Donations of gently used household items are always needed – monies generated by the Thrift store go directly to the Washington County Food Pantry.
