HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…


The next Lunch & Learn is on Tuesday, August 25, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Bagby/Gentry Conference Rooms. The topic is Breastfeeding Matters: Supporting moms, babies, & communities. RSVP on the MCH website or contact Coartney DiGiorgio at 402-426-1464 or cdigiorgio@mchhs.org.


Free admission all day on Tuesday, August 25 to Desoto National Wildlife Refuge in celebration of the 110th birthday of the National Park Service.


The City of Blair will host an Open House at the Blair Public Library from 4:30 - 6:30 pm on Tuesday, August 25, for residents of the community to learn about and share ideas for the development of our Safety Action Plan to make our streets safer.


Carter Place Senior Living is having an End of Summer Beach Party & Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 27, from 2-4:30pm. There will be ice cream, yard games, live music, and a senior resource fair.


The Church will be hosting a craft fair on August 29, 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm at 212 West 2nd in Kennard. 16 vendors with a variety of crafts will be available.


Saturday, August 29, is the Community Grooves & Grub from 6-8 pm at the United Methodist Church pavilion. Music by Fever & The Funkhouse. Food Trucks will be on site from 5-8 pm. Bring your lawn chair or blankets and join us for a fun, relaxing evening.


A Street Dance honoring Tekamah Fire & Rescue 135th anniversary is on Saturday, August 29, from 7-11pm at Tipsy Pig. There will be live music from the Nuclear Bees.

Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of The Black Barn at Skinny Bones on Friday, September 4 at 10:00 am.


Rayne's Music Festival September 4 - 7, Missouri Valley City Park and 4-H building

Living History weekend at Fort Atkinson September 5-6
