Here’s what’s happening in the Blair area Faith Community:


The National Day of Prayer is today, State level recognition is at noon in the Warner Chamber of the capitol building in Lincoln with Governor Pillen, Here in Blair, the Washington County Ministerial Association will be hosting the National Day of Prayer event at Veteran’s Tribute Plaza at 13th and Washington starting at noon. For those who cannot make the events during business hours today, a commemoration of the day will be in Arlington, with prayer and refreshments at 6pm this evening at the auditorium.


A Meal and a Movie is this Sunday, May 4th, hosted by Christ Lutheran Church at 750 Angel’s Share Drive in Blair. The meal starts at 5, the movie “Bonhoffer” starts at 6. There is no charge.


The Community Prayer Network is this coming Monday, 7pm, third floor of the Clocktower building on the Dana Campus.


“For a Time Such as This” a portrayal of Esther by Natalee Ganyon will be presented at the Missouri River area Women’s Connection at 6:30 on May 13th. Tickets are ten dollars at the door to cover the catered meal. Reservations are required – call 402-426-7068


Just a reminder that the National Peace Officers Memorial Day is Thursday, May 15th, 6:30pm. The walk starts at the Blair Police Department and goes to the Sheriff’s Department where a commemoration and ceremony is held
