The Blair Church Community Calendar will focus on Memorial Day activities…

Tomorrow, 5:30 pm volunteers are sought to place flags at the Woodbine Cemetery in preparation of Memorial Day.

The Missouri Valley Commemoration of Memorial Day is Monday, 10am at the Missouri Valley City Park and will include raising and honoring the flag, the National Anthem sung by the Loess Hills Community Choir, the Memorial Day Address by Jerry Keizer and more.

Fort Calhoun’s Memorial Day Service is Monday, 11am at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery. The speaker is Nebraska’s astronaut Clayton Anderson.

The Hain-Flynn American Legion is conducting Blair’s Memorial Day service at the Blair Cemetery at 10am Monday. If it rains, the event will be moved to the Legion.

You should plan on bringing a lawn chair to these events. Remember that many businesses will be closed Monday, including government offices.
